I've been told that, as a consultant, I should never give out free advice.
But if I don't give you some samples of my thinking how can you tell if you'd be
comfortable being my client. Like all free advice on the Internet though,
you'll have to use this at your own risk.
- My thoughts on Sweat Equity. This was originally
a handout for a seminar I moderated a few years ago at an SBA small business
conference.
- I've collected a lot of different lists over the years that describe what
records you should keep and for how long. This
list is available on line. It is from a commercial source I have no connection with. Use your BACK button to return here.
- My thoughts on practical record retention. In the real world there's
more to it than just keeping the bean counters, lawyers and government happy.
- Finally, for hardened do-it-your-self types, here are some
links to government sites of potential interest:
Internal
Revenue Service
Connecticut - Department
of Revenue Services
Massachusetts -
Revenue/Taxes
New York State -
Department of Taxation & Finance
SEC - Securities &
Exchange Commission
